We've got Issues...

Computer issues, that is. We finally got a new laptop, but we are having trouble accessing photos and videos, so it's a work in progress. Anyway, here's a video of Maya loving Jonah. I promise to get back to regularly scheduled programming as soon as our computers issues are fixed. Oh, and also, as soon as we start actually doing something again. We've been pretty cooped up the past couple of weeks, so there isn't anything newsworthy to report!

If the Shoe Fits...

Maya is desperate to wear my running sneaks. She gets very sad when she can't keep them on her feet. She does a pretty decent job putting them on, but when they fall off, boy is she ticked...

Conversations with Maya

So, lately, if you ask Maya a "yes" or "no" question, she'll always answer, "Yeah." On the other hand, if you ask her an open ended question, she'll answer with, "Ummmmm??? Blahblahblahblah." It's really funny. We seem to have these conversations over and over again all day:

Me: "Maya, what do you want for lunch today?"
Maya: "Ummmmmm??? Blahblahblahblah."
Me: "Maya, are you happy today?"
Maya: "Yeah."
Me: "What do you want to do this afternoon?"
Maya: "Ummmmmm??? Blahblahblah."

You get the idea. Anyway, this is a very in depth conversation between Kevin and Maya. Well, actually, it's between Maya and the puppet, I guess. I think this is sweet, and Maya has watched it so many times today. It's funny, because when she watches, she answers the questions right along with the video, and it's almost exacty in unison.

Wake Up, Maya B.!

Maya loves when I come to get her in the morning. I usually try and surprise her in bed, and she gets all excited to see me. Recently, our neighbors put 2 little polar bears in red scarves on their lawn. Maya loves looking at them out the window. In the evenings, they are lit up, but during the day, you have to look a little harder. We usually take a look in the morning, right when Maya gets out of her crib. She loves this routine, and will be sad after Christmas, when the bears hit the road.

Taking a Walk(er).

Well, Brooke has recently been encouraging me to try letting Maya walk with a walker (a toy with a handle and wheels, so the baby can hold on and push). I assumed she was too young for this, since the one we have has wheels, and I think if she pushes it, it'll go so fast, she'll immediately fall on her face. This afternoon, I was at Cooperella Cafe with Brook, James, and Keira, and I decided to let Maya take a stab at using the walker. I held onto it, so it didn't go too fast. For a first timer, I think she did pretty well!

Tickle Me Maya

For some reason, Maya was very fussy yesterday afternoon. At first, I got nervous she was sick again, but now I'm chalking it up to cabin fever, since it was so cold outside and we didn't get out much. Fortunately, she did a complete 180 by the evening, and was the cutest little girl on the planet. No, seriously - the entire planet. I have lots of video and pictures from our fun night...
