It's snowing today. Yes, snow on April 28th. Gotta love it. Maya went swimming anyway, only it was in the tub. Our friends handing down this suit to Maya, and she loves it. Halfway through her bath, she decided she needed to wear it, so we spent the next 20 minutes pretending to be at the beach (one of her current obsessions). I think the suit is a tad small on her, but she doesn't seem to mind!

We are Bored.
"We went to the playground with Mary and Lisa yesterday. Mary is 6 months younger than me, but we play like old friends."
"Did you know that I can go on the swings for 45 minutes straight? Yes, I love swinging."
Did you know we are moving back to Connecticut in 2 months? Well, Kevin starts his new job on July 1st, so we will be heading back to CT in the end of June. I am really looking forward to it. New Hampshire is a lovely state, but it is beyond boring. I mean, there is NOTHING to do. In fact, I went to Connecticut to see family last week, because Kevin was away, and I was too bored for words. We are back now, and so is Kevin, so things are picking up a bit. This morning we played at the library, and yesterday we played at the park. Maya loves the swings and the slide. She asks for them every day. Unfortunately, we are expecting snow. Yes, snow. Needless to say, it was an indoor sort of day...
"This is my tongue."
"This is my smiley and spitty brother, Jonah."
"Mommy bought me new barrettes. I love them so much, I made her put them all in my hair at once."
"Auntie Debsie was holding Jonah, but she wouldn't let Mommy take her picture because she was in jammies."
"I love Costco just as much as Mommy and Daddy!"

Bubbly Maya
We are in Connecticut for the end of the week, because Kevin is out of town at a conference. Needless to say, Maya is having a great time. She adores being outside, and has been spending a lot of time playing in the yard with Grammy and Grampy. This afternoon, we played with sidewalk chalk on the driveway, and blew bubbles in the yard. Both Maya and Jonah had a great time. We can't wait until summer, when it will always be warm enough to play outside. The weather is spotty these days, but hopefully that will soon come to an end. We miss you, Daddy!
"This is my Grammy and me."
"Grammy and Grampy love me to pieces. They think Jonah is okay, too."
"Gotta love kisses from Aunt Debsie."
"Look at the bubbles!"
"I am not so good at blowing the bubbles, but Grammy is excellent."
"I accidentally ate a lot of bubble soap today. Oh well. Mommy says it's okay."

I Don't Feel Like Writing...
...but here are some photos to tide you over. Kevin was away for a couple of days, and he just got home, so we are relaxing, watching TV while the kiddos are sleeping. I am exhausted and grateful to have Daddy back home. The kids were great the past 2 days. Here are the highlights.
"Jonah has his chair, and I have mine!"
"Debbie and Dan got this onesie for Jonah. Go BU!"
"He's cute."
"Cuddle time is my favorite."

Little Red.
We got another new camera this week. This is 5th camera used for this blog! yikes. We have accident insurance on this one. Good call, don't you think? Anyway, the weather is getting nice here, so we've been walking a lot, and spending time at the playground. Maya loves the swings, and Jonah digs the Moby Wrap. I love my happy little babies...
"Jonah rests in the Moby Wrap a lot. Mommy says I used to rest in there too."
"Mommy calls us 'couch potatoes...'"
"It was cold at the playground, so Mommy put Jonah in the sling and zipped him up!"
"Jonah loves Daddy, too."
"Debsie's new sister-in-law, Amanda, gave me this princess shirt. Mom says it's Cinderella, and that I should see the movie."

How Old are You?
TWO!!!
Miss Maya B. had her 2 year appointment with Dr. Turkey this morning. Let me start by saying that Maya was the best patient EVER. Dr. T said that most 2 year old kids have a very hard time at their 2 year appointment, because they are scared. Maya was amazing. She played and talked with the doc, and she was an old pro at her exam. She even loved getting weighed. She had 1 shot today, and didn't even cry! Anyway, Maya tops out at 26.5 pounds and 32 inches. She is in the 40th percentile for height and weight, and is in the whopping 85th percentile for head circumfrence. In case I didn't mention it, our camera broke, so I am working with older photos at the moment. We had a photo shoot with our old friend, Liz, a couple of months ago, so here are some of the highlights!

Maya Keeps Asking...
Maya just asked me to put pictures on the blog, and you always do what the boss says, right? Sadly, my camera broke - AGAIN!!! What's the deal? Well, it's probably because my sneaky little girl keeps grabbing it and dropping it. Oh, and because it sits in my diaper bag, along with the Cheez-It, Nutrigrain Bar, and Cheerio crumbs. Anyway, we have yet another one on the way, but until then, I'm working on some random pics.
"Risa sent me some awesome Minnie duds in the mail. I am so lucky!"
"Mommy and Jonah are sweet, huh?
"Just showing you my Mickey jammies!"
"I love to dance."
"Mom has been letting me drink out of this baby sippy we found. It makes me laugh."

2 Months of Jonah.
Our little man is growing up! Jonah turned 2 months old on April 4th - just after Maya turned 2! He had his 2 month appointment with Dr. Turkey on Monday. It went really well - Jonah is 10 pounds, 9.5 ounces (25th percentile), and 23 inches (25th percentile). He is growing like a champ, and is also a strong and happy little monkey. He even spent sat in a Bumbo Seat for the first time! Oh, and he had his first round of vaccines, and he endured it like a little soldier. We were so proud of him.
"Mommy wants me to tell you that Jonah's eyes aren't really red. She just doesn't have time to fix the pics these days..."
"Risa gave me this shirt. She must know I love Minnie."
"These are my Mickey jammies, and my horse boots. Fashion statement, huh?"
"One of these things doesn't belong...

Happy Birthday, Baby!
Maya's birthday fell on the second night of Passover. This was both good news and bad news for Maya. On the upside, she got to see a lot of family, plus she got to have a Minnie Mouse cake, and lots of presents. On the other hand, she didn't get to be with Daddy on her birthday, because he had to work. Fortunately, modern technology allowed us to Skype Kevin into Maya's ice cream cake party after the seder. Maya loved getting to see Kevin on the computer, and she loved the birthday song... but she had no interest in her cake. Nope. She didn't even try her Minnie cake. We never figured out why, but, fortunately, there were others in the house who enjoyed it for her.

Happy Birthday, Tyson!
We're finally back in New Hampshire, after a week in CT, celebrating Maya's birthday, Passover, and Cousin Tyson's birthday. We did a lot this week, so I'll start at the end. Yesterday was Tyson's birthday, and Bubbe and Kevin had a big bash at their house. Maya had a great time. It was a beautiful day, and all the kids played outside and ate tons of candy and pizza. After being cooped up at our house for the winter, Maya was thrilled to have a chance to run around and play. She really enjoyed playing with her cousins, too, which was so nice. Maya loves her family... We couldn't be any luckier.
"Tyson is so lucky - he lives on a cul-de-sac, so he can ride his toys all over the place!"
"This is a soccer ball, right?"
"I love playing."
"Can you believe it's been warm enough for a sundress?! I love it!"
"Bubbe showed us how to use sidewalk chalk!"
"Bubbe made Tyson an Ernie cake! Impressive, huh?"
"Jonny loves Jonah."
"Juju and Aryella played with Jonah, too."
"Jonah looks so chill, doesn't he?"
"Aryella and I are buds."
